The G-House Pirates have been featured in Popular Mechanics, once again. Journalists from the popular (no pun intended) magazine visited the team on the day before the robots were shippped, keeping in tradition with previous years.

LUNACY! The 2009 FRC Game Challenge!

 


 

Today, the game has been revealed to all of the FIRST community.

The game challenge is called LUNACY, inspired by the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission. Like the Apollo 11 mission, the LUNACY game has a catch unlike anything else--a very low coefficient of friction! Just like the moon!

Safety Shipments!

Hey Friends!

Lately we've been revamping our arsenal of supplies for the coming build season, and it came up in meetings very often that we were void of safety supplies. It came to my attention that it was a problem that needed to be fixed before kickoff, and not after someone got a cut or laceration, etc. I spoke to Mr. Zeimer about it, and he said we should order some stuff. So we've ordered some supplies to keep up to safety standards:

  • More safety glasses
  • Replacement safety glasses for shaded glasses that aren't approved by FIRST
  • First Aid Kit(s)
  • Gloves
